Is Trade.Place free to use?
Yes. Every calculator, guide and the buying-request form are free for buyers. We are funded by advertising, sponsorships, partner referrals and supporter donations.
Do you sell products or act as a supplier?
No. Trade.Place does not sell goods or take payments for orders. We publish education and free tools, and we route buying requests to relevant independent suppliers and service providers. Always do your own due diligence before paying anyone.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use standard industry formulas and give planning estimates. Duty rates, fees and container specifications vary by country, carrier and date, so confirm final figures with your customs broker, forwarder or the official tariff.
What happens after I post a buying request?
A person reviews it for completeness, then shares it with suppliers or logistics partners that match the product, volume and destination. They contact you directly with quotes. You are never obliged to buy.
Can my company be listed or featured?
Yes. Suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and inspection firms can apply through the “List your company” form. Featured placements and sponsorships are available on the Advertise page.
